Eric Church On Doing His Part To Remain Informed
The Chief has taken the health and safety of his fans seriously and made it a top priority to learn about all aspects of the pandemic. He has been one of the most methodical artists out there to ensure that concerts can safely make a return. In fact, his cover of Billboard, featured him getting vaccinated to inspire his fans to do the same.
“I want people to know that this is not just something we got up and decided to do,” Eric Church said. “This not me just shooting from the hip. This has been a labor of love and a lot of hard work. I’ve become an amateur epidemiologist in the last year talking to local municipalities and scientists and doctors and governors.”
“When do we feel like this is gonna happen? I’ve been on more Zoom calls than I ever want to be on in my life,” Eric Church admitted. “I think everybody was generally confident that once there’s enough adequate vaccines and if you want one, you can get one. There’s no reason to restrict people at that time.”
Vaccines and Face Masks
Eric Church understands that not all of his fans want to get vaccinated. In that case, he offers up the face mask alternative. “If you go get a vaccine, which I recommend you do, you don’t have to worry as much about masking and those other things. It’s up to you,” he added. “I would recommend everyone do it, because it makes life easier, but if not, you may have to wear a mask from time to time at some of these shows in these different municipalities, but I feel very confident that by the fall about when we’re gonna do this and then the following spring that everything’s gonna be where we can all put our arms around each other again, and I felt like we could do it and I feel like we can do it, and I’m looking forward to doing it.”
