Halsey Starts with The End in First Preview Of New Album

By  |

To say fans were eagerly waiting for the musical comeback and new album of singer-songwriter Halsey would be an understatement. But what they didn’t expect, was for them to start at The End.

The wait is over for Halsey fans.

The 29-year-old took to social media yesterday to confirm a few rumours that had been going around for a while.

Weeks after teasing a new project by launching a new website and sending cryptic letters to fans who had subscribed to their newsletter, the artist has finally announced the beginning of their new era.

“As you may have guessed, I have written a new album,” the letters received a day prior to the announcement read.

“There’s so much I am going to reveal on this record,” the singer continues, “but you need to know some of the story first. So before the chaos and confetti of big singles and album releases I just need to tell you, my friend, why it all matters this time.”

At the end of the letter, the songwriter also shared with fans one last thing: the fact that they would release a new song, titled “The End” on June 4.

While ‘The End’ makes the debut of a new era for Halsey, it is not quite dubbed as a single. On Instagram, the singer shared the cover art, with a little more context around the song.

“Before the first single comes, I wanted to share this. It means a lot to me and I love it. Let’s try something different this time and start at ‘The End’.”

The End, out today, is the first effort off of Halsey ’s fifth album.

The upcoming full length record will be the first release under the singer’s new record label, Columbia, which she switched to in June 2023. The new record follows the highly-acclaimed, Grammy-nominated album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.
