Careful with your TSwift merchandise!

By  |

Swifts team has put up federal trademark protection of certain phrases that are associated with her album “1989”

Some of these phrases include:

“Party like its 1989”

“This sick beat”

“Cause we never go out of style”

“I could show you incredible things”

“Nice to meet  you, where you been?”

Now these are all mostly warnings for people who are trying to make profit selling merchandise.  We don’t have a detailed list of items that the Swift team has covered but Rolling Stone says even obscure items such as typewriters, oven mitts, lanyards, and aprons are included.  So before you start putting “this sick beat” on  a t-shirt and selling it to friends, make sure to read up on trademarks and copyrighting!!
