The Story So Far’s hometown show at the Fox Theater in Oakland

The Story So Far ended their 2019 tour with a hometown show in Oakland, Ca. Just Friends, another local band opened up the show. The band has eight members and has an amazing amount of energy. They have a great female singer who has so much energy alongside the rest of the band. They seemed to be having so much fun on stage which transcended into the crowd and they did a great job of opening up the show. Their set was unexpected and exciting to witness, I would definitely keep an eye out for this band in the future, especially if you’re a fan of ska and pop punk. Next up was Hunny, they also had high energy and their stage presence really kept the crowd intrigued. They were able to transition songs really well and their set flowed beautifully. The Frights were the last opener and they were an interesting act given they weren’t pop punk. They had more of a rock/country vibe but the crowd was very open to their performance and seemed to enjoy their set in preparation for The Story So Far. The fans went wild once The Story So Far came on stage. They have an amazing local fanbase that really creates a wonderful energy throughout the venue. Being able to witness artist performing hometown shows is one of the greatest things especially when you’re part of that hometown fan group. They played a great set of new songs and classics that the fans could sing along with. This was their 2nd to last show of 2019 and it was a great way to end the year.
