Ones to Watch 2019

2018 is basically over. It seems just like yesterday it was Fourth of July and we were enjoying some watermelon by the pool. Now it’s that odd time of year between Christmas and New Year’s where you have no idea what day it actually is, but you sure know you are stuffed to the brim with food. (SO MANY CHRISTMAS COOKIES!!) It’s also that time of year when you see a bunch of “Best of 2018” articles and articles on what will be popular in the year to come. This article is on the later, as we dive into music stars who you will certainly be hearing about in 2019.

LYRX

Genre: Country
-She’s a refreshing true artist and songwriter breathing exciting new life into the female country scene.
-Hailed as “The Vanguard ” and “Cutting Edge” and side of Nashville, LYRX incorporates real-life storytelling and visualizing lyrics into each of her songs.
-She will be releasing new music in 2019!
-She has worked with #1 hit songwriters, including Shane McNally, Jeffrey Steele, Zac Maloy, Shay Mooney, Danny Orton, Benji Davis, and more.

Stevie Redstone

Genre: Pop
-Stevie’s sound is a mix of pop-rock, funk, soul, and blues.
-He has a brand new single, “Now”, out NOW!
-The Los Angeles, CA native draws inspiration from The Beatles, the Allman Brothers, Phish and the legends of Motown/Stax.
-His refreshing music is filled with melody, mood, energy, and honesty.
-Has shared the stage with legends such as The Who, Robert Plant, and Dave Grohl.

Jenna Paulette

Genre: Country
-Her current single is called “F150”.
-Her music videos are spinning on CMT now.
-She earned an ‘Artist to Watch’ by Cosmo and featured in Glamour this year
-The CMT Discovery Artist has worked with distinguished producer Brad Hill (Maren Morris) and songwriter Ashley Gorley (Carrie Underwood, Tim McGraw)

Jordan Davis

Genre: Country
-Rising country artist and Louisiana native.
-Debut single, “Singles You Up,” reached No.1 on country radio.
-His current single, “Take It From Me,” is in the Top 15.
-Released his debut album, Home State, earlier this year.

Chance McKinney

Genre: Country
-Chance is a former high school teacher turned country music singer/songwriter.
-Chance recently released his new EP, I².
-Former member of the duo Nathan Chance, and he won CMT’s Music City Madness competition with his song, “Be Real.”
-Has performed with Blake Shelton, Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Sunny Sweeney, Alan Jackson, Ronnie Dunn, Darius Rucker and more.

Brandon Stansell

Genre: Country
– His current single is “Hometown” and the music video is out now and playing on CMT.
-The single gives a look into the struggles Brandon has faced during his coming out journey.
-Brandon is a strong and empowering voice as he represents the LGBT community in the country music genre and promotes kindness and authenticity.
-He also released “Slow Down” with country riser Ty Herndon.

Caroline Romano

Genre: Pop
-At just 17, Caroline has opened for huge names including Daya and Shawn Mendes, and the teen performs a duet with pop-riser Jacob Whitesides, called “Masterpiece.”
-Her last single, “Ready,” hit the Top 3 on Radio Disney’s Top 30 Chart (between Ariana Grande and Taylor Swift!).
-The talented pop singer/songwriter hails from a small town in Mississippi, and she recently released a catchy new single, “Come with Me”.
-Caroline gives vibes of a young Lorde-meets-Bebe Rexha, and she’s forging her own path with a unique sound from the south (an area typically focused on the country genre).

Charlotte Lawrence

Genre: Pop
– Charlotte is a rising teen pop artist with a dark edge.
-She has racked up streams with breakout songs “Just The Same” and “Sleep Talking”.
-Documenting the teenage experience from the frontline is what Charlotte does best and she puts lyrics above all else when it comes to writing.
-She is inspired by Lorde, SZA, Patti Smith, and Bon Iver.
-Charlotte released her debut EP, “Young”, earlier this year.

Alec Benjamin

Genre: Pop
-Rising pop singer/songwriter
-Inspired by Eminem, Paul Simon, and Citizen Cope
-The Phoenix-born, Los Angeles-based songwriter got his start performing “parking lot shows” for fans outside of Shawn Mendes and Troye Sivan concerts.
-2018 saw the release of his debut mixtape, “Narrated For You”.

Caroline Marquard

Genre: Country
-Rising country/singer-songwriter originally from Switzerland
– Current single: “Not A Rolling Stone”
-Single “Not A Rolling Stone” produced by Chris Seefried who also works with Fitz & The Tantrums
-Over 1.1 million views on YouTube
