‘Mea Culpa’ Gojira Wins 2025 Grammy For Best Metal Performance

And the Grammy for Best Metal Performance goes to… “Mea Culpa (Ah! Ça ira!)” — Gojira, Marina Viotti & Victor Le Masne.

The creatives behind the song accepted the award during The Premiere Ceremony prior to the main telecast. They thanked their team behind the song and the listeners. The Last year, Metallica took home this category for “72 Seasons.”

The 67th Annual Grammy Awards are scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. Hosted by Trevor Noah for the fifth consecutive year, the ceremony will be broadcast live on CBS from 8 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. ET (5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. PT) and available for streaming on Paramount+. The event will feature performances by artists such as Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Sabrina Carpenter, Shakira, Lady Gaga, and Bruno Mars. Notably, Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars are set to perform their collaborative single “Die With a Smile,” which is nominated for both Song and Record of the Year.

Before the main event, the Grammy Premiere Ceremony kicked off at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles at 12:30 PM PT, hosted by songwriter and producer Justin Tranter. This segment will feature the presentation of numerous awards along with special performances, streamed live on the Recording Academy’s YouTube channel and on live.GRAMMY.com. Big nominees this year include Beyoncé, who leads the pack with an impressive number of nominations, alongside other celebrated artists like Charli XCX, Post Malone, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar.
