Life Is Beautiful Top 15 Must See Acts!

By  |

The Life Is Beautiful Music Festival will take place on October 24-26th
year in Downtown Las Vegas. The musical line-up in jam-packed with amazing acts so it’ll be key for festivalgoers to plan ahead if they want to make sure they see their favorite artists. If you are a little lost on where to start, here are my top 15 must-see artists at this year’s event in no particular order:

1. Arctic Monkeys
I’ve been listening to their latest album AM since its release almost a year ago now. They’re indie, they’re rock, and Alex Turner’s voice is a whole lotta sexy.

2. Alt-J
They are super catchy and they put on one hell of a live show. Also their new album will drop a little over a month before the festival so there will definitely be a bunch of new tunes to be heard!

3. Broken Bells
Its Brian Burton (aka Danger Mouse) and James Mercer creating amazing indie electro rock. If you don’t know and love them already…where have you been?!

4. Jenny Lewis
Expect dark lyrics, strong musicianship, and very good indie music at this set. She just released her latest solo album, The Voyager, which showed great promise and I’m sure her set will shine.

5. The Head and the Heart
Sometimes you just need some good coffee-shop folk music.

6. Tycho
He makes amazing ambient music that is most definitely worth checking out.

7. tUnE-yArDs
A current personal favorite plus when performing live, the woman behind the project, Merrill Garbus, creates drum loops on the spot and layers these with ukulele and vocals. It’s a sight worth seeing.

8. Echosmith
Up-and-coming pop rock band made up of siblings from California. Just got off their second time touring with the Vans Warped Tour. They are a band to look out for in the future.

9. MS MR
Really good dream pop/dark wave duo that are worth checking out, especially if you haven’t heard their stuff before.

10. The Orwells
These guys will be your dose of punk/garage rock at Life is Beautiful

11. St. Lucia
I live in Miami so I’ve come to appreciate some good indie electronic and let me tell you, this guy is worth the look.

12. Foo Fighters
What can I say? I’m a Dave Grohl fan. And the Foo Fighters are good.

13. Outkast
Ready for some Hey Ya?

14. Panic! at the Disco
For everyone in their 20s, this is the ultimate high school throwback.

15. Kanye West
If I’m there, and he’s there, I don’t see any reason why I wouldn’t go see him. Literally he’s right there. Why would anyone pass up that opportunity?
