Julia Michaels Unleashes New Song, “All Your Exes”

By  |

This past Friday (March 26), Grammy® Award-nominated multiplatinum singer and songwriter Julia Michaels unleashed a new song, “All Your Exes, via Republic Records.

Co-written with singer/songwriter and boyfriend JP Saxe, the track highlights Michaels’ signature lyrical prowess before slipping into distorted guitar and a snarling hook as she playfully suggests, “I want to live in a world where all your exes are dead.

About “All Your Exes” and the upcoming album Julia says, “In the past I’ve definitely been a bitter lemon when it came to love, but all of that has changed. Now that I’m in a healthy relationship I’ve redirected that angst from my ex to my current partner’s exes,” Julia Michaels laughs. “I hope fans will appreciate the dark humor of the song. I wrote it with JP, and it’s about being so obnoxiously in love that it’s actually painful to think about that person having been with anyone else- like how is that even possible that you were with someone else before me? […] I love that songs like this exist on the new album,” she adds, “These are songs that explore the upside of being in love as much as the depths of being hurt.  It’s a new experience for me, and I’m excited for fans to laugh and smile with me.”

Michaels also surprised fans with the announcement that her long-awaited full-length album debut will arrive on April 30th.

Be on the lookout for the official music video and additional details on her forthcoming album very soon.
