Exclusive: Juice releases new EP

By  |

Juice has new music out, a killer EP titled you are simply magnificent. So we’ll keep this simple, we chatted with the band and yes, they are magnificent.

What was the recording process like for your new EP?
YASM was recorded in Nashville in two different studios over the course of a few months. “Audrey Tell Me,” “Peace of Mind” and “Stupidfreak” were all done at House of Blues Studios and “Straitjacket” was recorded at Sound Stage Studios. We multi-tracked our parts so we could have more minute control over the soundscape. The recording process was more meticulous on this compared to Workin’ on Lovin, which we recorded in a single day, mostly live tracked. – Rami

What do you hope listeners take away from the EP?
We want people to make the songs their own. Maybe some feels. Some sad. Some happy. Some sad some happy at the same time? Maybe cry, that’s ok too. – Dan

You have a song “Peace of Mind,” how do you have peace of mind while being so busy?
Touring and recording is certainly busy and often stressful, but the unique experiences we have and the people we meet make it all worth it. Meditation kinda helps too. – Rami

How do you feel you’ve evolved since your last release?
We focused more on intentionality in both our instrumental arrangements and lyrical expression this time around. Compared to our last release, YASM shows a more vulnerable and honest side of the band. We’ve matured ever so slightly as artists and people and we like to think it comes out in the music. – Dan

How would you best describe your sound?
With words…No but really throwing a series of vague adjectives at you just won’t do anyone enough good to amount to any sort of sizeable hill of beans. -Dan

How do you manage to stay friends while in the band?
haha who said we were friends? – Rami

Who would be some of your dream collaborators?
The 1975, Brockhampton, Kanye West, Anderson .Paak

Is there an opportunity to tour with this new EP?
We just got off of a really big summer tour, so we’re taking the Fall to write and record MORE music for ya’ll. Gonna be touring again after that – Rami
