Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane of Fifth Harmony Have Themselves A Merry Little Christmas

By  |

It had been five years. Five years since Fifth Harmony disbanded and went on their solo adventures. But the festive Christmas spirit brought the eldest and the youngest of the group, Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane, together again and they just HAD to celebrate.

And they wasted no time!

The duo joined forces again on the holiday classic “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,” which they released today (December 1) as part of Brooke’s Under The Tree Christmas EP.

“Now that it’s the holidays, I love that we were able to collaborate. You know, it’s all about fam and love, and we were able to bring that,” Ally said in a video posted on Instagram. “I’m just so glad, beyond glad that we were able to collaborate and we’re bringing the fans and the world a gift of our music and of each other.”

“There’s a special type of joyous spirit that Christmas brings us all,” Dinah Jane added. “This holiday season, I’m grateful for this healing union that has brought my good ole sister Ally Brooke and I together through music. […] May this song encourage you to embrace love, forgiveness, and bring comfort to all,” concludes Dinah.

Much like their former bandmates Camila Cabello, Lauren Jauregui and Normani, Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane have both been pretty active since the group announced their hiatus. And even apart, both girls had one specific goal in mind: going back to their roots.

While Ally Brooke released over a dozen singles and collaborations in both English and her native Spanish while working on her debut solo album, Dinah Jane chose to embrace her Polynesian roots through music after taking a break during the pandemic. The singer announced her comeback single “Ya Ya” this summer as the first preview of a larger upcoming project.

If you want to get into the Christmas spirit while waiting for Ally Brooke and Dinah Jane’s upcoming solo albums, you can also check out Brooke’s festive singles “Last Christmas” (2018) and “Baby I’m Coming Home” (2020).
