Rock the Garden 2015 Revealed!

By  |

While Rock the Garden isn’t a festival, it is still a HUGE deal to the hipster crowd, especially if you’re in the Midwest.  Rock the Garden started as a one day event but recently has expanded to two dates in the heart of Minneapolis at the Walker Arts Center.  This concert is hosted by the radio station The Current which plays anywhere from local to indie to hip hop to classic rock.  I attended Rock the Garden one year and it was phenomenal as OK Go and MGMT took the stage to entertain the Minnesota crowd.  Today The Current released the line up for this years event on June 20th and 21st.  Tickets for this event go on sale March 12th and 17th, but good luck snagging a ticket if you’re not a member of The Current.  Last year I think tickets sold out within half an hour, it really is the place to be and the event of the summer.  If you really love the line up and HAVE to attend, you better be ready to buy tickets the second they release it to non-members (if there are any  tickets left) or listen to The Current and try to win tickets.  If not, you can always Rock the Boulevard, AKA stand outside the gates and listen. This year’s line up includes:

The GOASTT (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger)

JD McPherson

Courtney Barnett

Seun Kuti & Egypt 80

Conor Oberst

Babes in Toyland

Belle & Sebastian

Modest Mouse
