Miley Cyrus officially has another title… the youngest person to become a Disney Legend!
The Hannah Montana alum will be the youngest to receive this honor at just 31 years old. A full stream of the show will be available to watch on Disney+ tomorrow (August 12).

Miley Cyrus Is Officially A Disney Legend!
The weekends festivities will come to a close tonight with the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, at the Honda Center. Fourteen remarkable individuals will be recognized for their impact on Disney’s legacy. Ryan Seacrest will host the event, which promises guests and surprise performances that’re sure to leave a lasting impression. This grand Hollywood spectacle honors figures in Disney’s history for their contributions to storytelling and innovation. Fans who missed out can catch the Disney Legends Awards Ceremony, on Disney+ this Monday (August 12) at 5 PM ET.
“To be named a Disney Legend is the highest honor our company can bestow on anyone, reserved for those whose talent and achievement have earned them an enduring place in our history,” Disney CEO Bob Iger said in a press release. “The fourteen individuals to be honored as Disney Legends this year have each made extraordinary creative contributions across the worlds of Disney and we look forward to celebrating them at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event.”
Miley Cyrus Life Work
Miley Cyrus rose to fame through Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana. She played the titular character, Miley Stewart, and her cousin Luanne. The series debuted in March 2006 and became the largest audience for the network. A 2007 episode of the series still ranks as the highest-rated basic cable series telecast ever, with 10.7 million total viewers.
Cyrus later voiced the character of Penny in Walt Disney Animation Studios’ film, Bolt. For the film, Miley earned a Golden Globe Award nomination for Best Original Song (“I Thought I Lost You”). In 2009, she lead in Hannah Montana: The Movie, which included the hit song “The Climb.” Cyrus worked with Disney+ to release Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions). Earlier this year, she won her first Grammys for Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance.
