Maneskin Closes Out Mad Cool Fest Friday
There are an infinite number of words to describe a Maneskin concert; exciting, erotic, teasing, playful, and authentic. This marked the first time that the band headlined a concert in Spain. The fans were delighted to hear them speak Spanish on stage and welcome them with open arms. Despite their setlist not varying heavily in the last couple of years, the band knows how to create the perfect set list.
When David took his shirt off during the crowd pleaser “Mammamia,” the audience erupted into screeches. When De Angelis jumped off stage to the barricade, the screams got even louder.
With a cigarette in hand, a shirtless performed the ballad, “The Loneliest.” Their first hit, “Beggin’,” had the entire crowd and passersby singing along to every word. However, one of the most heart pounding moments was when Raggi surprised everyone during Tom Morello’s set. The Rage Against The Machine member traded off guitar solos and riffs with Raggi to the deafening cheers of surprise and awe.
For those who haven’t experienced a Maneskin show, it is quite unlike anything you’ve seen before. With the rock n’ roll spectacle paired with sultry vocals and slick guitar riffs, it’s a mastery of music at its finest. The band knows what their legion of fans wants to hear and brings their theatrical and stylish senses to put on a show which rivals rock legends. Maneskin proved just how they can captivate an audience, even late into the wee morning hours.
