Lauren Jauregui Releases Raw Personal Ballad, Trust Issues

By  |

It is no secret by now that anytime Lauren Jauregui records a new ballad, she KNOWS what she’s doing, and it shows yet again with her new single, ‘Trust Issues.’

“Trust Issues” follows the release “Always Love,” which addresses the dissolution of a past public romantic relationship and follows a sold-out Latin American arena tour.

On ‘Trust Issues,’ Lauren Jauregui dives inward on her distrust in romantic relationships – her deeply confessional lyrics are magnified by her soaring, sultry vocals. The coinciding video directed by Farah Idrees captures intimate, behind-the-scenes studio shots of the recording process.

In an Instagram post, Jauregui shared that the new track is “one of [her] absolute favorites off this new project [she has] coming very soon.” From the first few teaser songs, this new project promises to showcase Jauregui being her rawest, most vulnerable self, and we cannot wait to hear it.

Multi-platinum Cuban-American singer-songwriter Lauren Jauregui began as one-fifth of the award-winning, arena-filling and chart-dominating Fifth Harmony. Projecting her voice across popular culture, she collaborated with everyone from Halsey and Steve Aoki to Ty Dolla $ign and Diane Warren. She also actively speaks up for social justice initiatives, including human rights, women’s and LGBTQ+ rights. Lauren embraced her freedom of expression both personally and creatively on her 2021 independent debut, PRELUDE (AWAL), where she showcased every side of herself with no shortage of spirit, sensuality, style and soul, delivering an unfiltered and undeniable depiction of who she is.
