Exclusive Premiere: Friendly Rich’s “Donkey Day”

Friendly Rich is a mad composer from Brampton, Canada. Mr. Rich composed background music for 3 seasons of MTV’s The Tom Green Show. Ever since, he has recorded exclusively for his own eclectic record label, The Pumpkin Pie Corporation. Rich is a PhD candidate from the University of Toronto under the supervision of Dr. Lee Bartel.

Friendly Rich and his modern music ensemble The Lollipop People have toured the world, sharing the stage alongside such artists as Trevor Dunn (Mr. Bungle), Of Montreal, The Tiger Lillies, and Amanda Palmer.

“Donkey Day is inspired by one of my favourite Canadian cities, Guelph Ontario, where once a year, it’s donkey day, and they let them run loose throughout the city. It’s chaos, and that’s what this tune portrays.”
