‘Daydreaming’ Lyrics By Elliot James Reay

Elliot James Reay debuted his third song ever, “Daydreaming.”

On Friday, March 28, Reay premiered his new single. He co-wrote the song with Annielle Lisiuk and Theo Hutchcraft. Reay also worked alongside writer-producer duo SOAP (Josh Noble and Karl Ziegler). The new tune showcases his classic vocal tone and continues to build into a full band backing him. This includes strings and brass sections. He even added real bird chirps to the single!

The Manchester native recently visited Memphis, Tennessee after he won the “Road to Memphis” international song contest. His debut single, “I Think They Call This Love” is what allowed him to take the title. Reay’s second release also resonated with listeners, “Boy In Love.”

‘Daydreaming’ Lyrics By Elliot James Reay

I hold you tender
So tender like a butterfly
Ever fleeting in my mind
Every moment I treasure when you flutter by
For a moment you are mine

Our love is a daydream
And I lose my days to you
Darling I close my eyes and I wonder
If a little glimpse will do
Day dreaming of you
Day dreaming of you

I do remember, I remember all the summer days
Bittersweet like lemonade
When I miss you, close my eyes and I drift away
Oh your picture never fades
Our love is a daydream
And I lose my days to you
Darling I close my eyes and I wonder
If a little glimpse will do
Day dreaming of you
Day dreaming of you

So I’ll waste away
on this rainy day
Longing for skies of blue
Daydreaming of you
Woah, oh
Daydreaming of you
Woah, oh
Just a little glimpse will do
Oh
Our love is a daydream
And I lose my days to you
Darling I close my eyes and I wonder
Oh a glimpse will have to do
Day dreaming of you
Day dreaming of you
