Carly Rae Jepson’s Sleeper Summer Hit

I’ve definitely said this before and I’m going to say it again. Carly Rae Jepsen is a HIGHLY underrated musician. Her first album Kiss was absolutely pure pop perfection, but everyone was stuck on “Call Me Maybe” to realize this. I’m here to officially break that cycle. Carly is getting ready to release a new album on August 21st called E•MO•TION Many people have already heard her newest single “I Really Like You” and while I absolutely love it, one of the newer songs “Run Away With Me” is the sleeper pop hit of the year. If you don’t believe me listen below.

It’s hard not to imagine yourself dancing around your room, singing in your car or lip-syncing in the shower to this song. The fanfare synth at the beginning calls out to you. The verses are completely heartfelt and emotion pours out of them.  The chorus revs up the tempo giving you nothing but energy. Not to mention this lyrics are catchy as all get out. If you need me I’m currently dancing around my apartment cleaning while this song is on repeat. Ms. Jepsen you have revived my love for Pop music once again!!!
