Queen Beyonce surprised fans by releasing a new country-leaning song, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” let’s learn the lyrics!

On Super Bowl Sunday, Bey surprised most of the Bey Hive by releasing the lead single off of her upcoming record. “Texas Hold ‘Em” acted as the first release from her upcoming record, RENAISSANCE ACT II.

The track was produced by Beyonce along with Killah B and Nathan Ferraro. Elizabeth Lowell Boland, Megan bülow, Raphael Saadiq, Nathan Ferraro, and Brian Bates wrote the song.

Fans knew something was coming today as Beyonce previously released a photo of her with the clock posing at 2/11, today’s date. In addition to “Texas Hold ‘Em,” Beyonce also treated fans to another song entitled, “16 Carriages.”

The new song still holds true to Beyonce’s swagger and storytelling lyricism while adding a country flair and showing off her Texas roots. During the first 30 seconds of the song the banjo is spotlighted with Bey’s accent pronounced, singing about her home state. Additionally, the Houston native is even seen in the single artwork with a black cowboy hat.

Listen to the new single, below.

Beyonce ‘Texas Hold ‘Em’ Lyrics

[Chorus]

This ain’t Texas (Oh)
Ain’t no hold ’em (Hey)
So lay your cards down, down, down, down
So park your Lexus (Oh)
And throw your keys up (Hey)
Stick around, round, round, round, round (Stick around)
And I’ll be damned if I can’t slow dance with you
Come pour some sugar on me honey, too
It’s a real life boogie, and a real life hoedown
Don’t be a bitch, come take it to the floor now (Woo)

[Verse 1]

[Bridge]
And I’ll be damned if I cannot dance with you
Come pour some liquor on me honey, too
It’s a real life boogie and a real life hoedown
Don’t be a bitch, come take it to the floor now (Woo)
