Bea Miller Enters New Era With “Depressed On The Internet” & Republic Records Signing
Bea Miller steps into a defining new era today with “Depressed On The Internet,” out now via Republic Records, alongside the announcement of her signing to the label.
The single, which marks Miller’s first solo release since 2023, offers a first look at the singer’s next chapter and introduces a sharp, self-aware perspective that balances humor with emotional honesty. The track was developed in collaboration with Justin Tranter and producers including Oak Felder, Shawn Wasabi and Dan Crean. Written at the start of the creative process, “Depressed On The Internet” captures themes of isolation and disconnection, setting the tone for a project rooted in reflection and reinvention.
On signing with Republic Records, Bea shares: “Throughout the process of writing my most recent body of work, I wanted to find the best possible partner to release it all with. Luckily for me, I met Wendy Goldstein, who’s a f***ing badass and has been championing my new music from the first day I played it for her. It can be rare as an artist to find a label that you love, made up of people you love, who truly believe in you. I know I have that with Wendy and with Republic, and I couldn’t be more excited about working together.”
“When Justin Tranter first played me Bea’s music, it was immediately clear there was something very special there,” Wendy Goldstein, Chairwoman and Chief Creative Officer, Republic Records shares. “Bea has a way of telling truths through her music that feels incredibly rare, and we’re really excited to be a part of her journey.”
GRAMMY-nominated hitmaker Justin Tranter adds: “I’ve been lucky enough to write with Bea on and off for almost a decade. She has always been an artist with a magical set of vocal cords who is brutally honest, hysterical and deeply self aware. But the reason I decided to dive in even deeper with her in this next chapter is because she has blossomed into one of the best songwriters I’ve ever met.”
ABOUT BEA MILLER:
Bea Miller is a distinct voice in pop, known for balancing vulnerability with defiance and a strong commercial instinct. Her work is defined by a refusal to separate honesty from humor, approaching mental health, relationships and identity with a self-aware, unguarded perspective. In the years since her debut, Miller has built a string of defining releases, including the platinum-certified “Young Blood” and fan favorites like “Fire n Gold” and “Feel Something.”
Currently working on new music, Miller is expanding her sound with a band-driven approach that moves fluidly across pop, alternative and R&B, foregrounding performance, melody and emotional clarity. Her latest single, “Depressed On The Internet,” offers a first glimpse into this new chapter. Collaborating closely with writers and producers including Justin Tranter, Oak Felder, Shawn Wasabi and Dan Crean, Miller continues to evolve her sound. She first entered the public eye in 2012 as a standout contestant on The X Factor, where her voice and presence immediately set her apart.
