St. Vincent Wins Grammy For Best Alternative Music Album For ‘Daddy’s Home’

The 2022 Grammy for Best Alternative Music Album goes to St. Vincent for Daddy’s Home.

On Sunday, April 3, the 64th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Las Vegas at the MGM Garden Arena. Before the CBS telecast kicked off, the premiere ceremony was hosted at the MGM Grand Conference Marquee Ballroom. The pre-show takes place to give out some of the 86 awards.

Other Best Alternative Music Album nominees include Shore by Fleet Foxes, and Jubilee by Japanese Breakfast. Additionally, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power by Halsey and Collapsed In Sunbeams by Arlo Parks were up for the honor.

Beyond The Grammy For Best Alternative Music Album

Current Best Spoken Word Album nominee LeVar Burton hosted the 64th GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony. The event performances from Madison Cunningham, Falu, Nnenna Freelon, Kalani Pe’a, John Popper, and The Isaacs. Current nominees Jimmie Allen, Ledisi, Mon Laferte, Allison Russell, and Curtis Stewart hit the stage.

“I’m excited to host this celebration of the best performers across genres and art forms,” Burton shared. “I am incredibly honored in particular to be represented in the Best Spoken Word category this historic year, with a cohort of five other outstandingly talented Black men, along with the words of the late great Congressman John Lewis.”

During the CBS telecast, numerous A-list performers will take the stage. Country crooners Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood, Brothers Osborne, and Brandi Carlile will perform. Two collaborations will take place from J Balvin with Maria Becerra and Lil Nas X with Jack Harlow. Other previously announced GRAMMY performers include Jon Batiste, BTS, Billie Eilish, Cynthia Erivo, H.E.R., Lady Gaga, John Legend, Maverick City Music, Nas, Aymée Nuviola, Leslie Odom, Jr., Ben Platt, Olivia Rodrigo, Silk Sonic, Billy Strings, and Rachel Zegler.
