Tyler Booth Releases New EP “Downtown”

By  |

Kentucky native Tyler Booth has released his anticipated EP, Downtown, available today on all digital streaming platforms. Co-produced by Booth with John Johnson and Steve Blackmon, all six tracks find the viral streamer following in the sonic footsteps of greats (and fellow Kentucky natives) like Keith Whitley, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, and Tyler Childers. Building on his recent singles—“Talkin’ White Trash,” first released April 4, and the heartfelt “Sunshine,” out May 16, with accompanying official music video out June 13—Booth crafts an intimate collection that blends classic country, bluegrass, and Southern rock. With stripped-back production, the EP features two solo guitar-vocal tracks alongside mandolin-driven melodies that spotlight his Appalachian roots.

This return-to-basics ethos underscores Booth’s commitment to authentic storytelling, a hallmark of his connection with fans.

“For me, telling a story that fans can relate to and connect with is paramount to country music,” said Booth. “The Downtown EP is full of stories backed by a sound that, I feel like, is so characteristic of where I was raised and the life I’ve lived in Kentucky.”

In celebration of the EP release, Booth will host a series of release performances, including a show June 28 at “the world famous” Austin City Saloon in Lexington, Kentucky, near his hometown of Campton.
