This Just In: John Mellencamp & Keith Urban Set To Perform Together During CMA Awards

Unless you’ve been completely ignoring the country music charts lately, you know the success behind Keith Urban’s hit ‘John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16’. Well, it looks like that song will be somewhat brought to life during the 2015 CMA Awards, when Urban is joined on stage by one of three John’s, John “Cougar” Mellencamp. Mellencamp had released an LP under the name “John Cougar Mellencamp” after releasing ‘Jack and Diane’, but then dropped it in the year 1991.

The Mellencamp and Urban duo can be added to the already impressive list of artists that will be performing at the awards show. The show will open with a duet by Hank Williams Jr. and Eric Church. Also included in the lineupThomas Rhett will be joined by the always entertaining Fall Out Boy and a plethora of incredible females vocalists like Miranda Lambert, Kacey Musgraves, Kelsea Ballerini, & Maddie and Tae!
