Blending atmospheric indie-pop production with dreamlike storytelling, “Glitter” captures the ache of longing and missed connection through cinematic lyrics and mesmerizing melodies. Written by Sam Palladio and Aron Rosing, the track contrasts loneliness and heartbreak against the shimmer of nightlife and fading romance, showcasing Palladio’s signature poetic vulnerability as both a songwriter and performer.

This song is about finding my feet again in a modern dating world … it’s a classic unrequited love sad boy pop song that, sonically, feels like an undeniable dance tune,” Palladio says. “I hope it captures the feeling of longing for someone, but also makes you want to dance through the loneliness.

“Glitter” was among the first songs Palladio wrote as he stepped into a new chapter of being single again, a period marked by both new romantic encounters and personal loss after the passing of his dog and grandfather. That juxtaposition, picturing someone dancing the night away on the other side of the world while he processed grief back in his childhood bedroom, informs the song’s imagery and emotional core. The result is an earworm that nods toward the evolution of his songwriting two years after his first solo release.

Best known for his role as Gunnar Scott on ABC’s Nashville, Palladio became a breakout fan favorite throughout the show’s six-season run, which drew more than five million viewers weekly. During his time on the acclaimed series, he immersed himself in the worlds of Americana, folk, and country music, collaborating with some of the genre’s most celebrated musicians and songwriters.

Since then, Palladio has continued carving out a distinct lane as both an actor and recording artist. His debut album seamlessly blended his Cornish roots with the musical influence of his years spent in Nashville, crafted alongside Danish producer Søren Hansen (New Politics) and multi‑Grammy‑winning producer Dave Sardy (Oasis, Snow Patrol, LCD Soundsystem, The Who). Previous releases, including “Something On My Mind” and “Tennessee,” featuring Foo Fighters guitarist Chris Shiflett, earned widespread critical praise and further cemented his reputation as a compelling songwriter with cross‑genre appeal.

Outside of music, Palladio has built an impressive acting career with credits spanning film and television, including Netflix’s The Princess Switch trilogy, AMC’s Humans, Showtime’s Episodes, ABC’s Rebel, the Bob Marley biopic One Love, and the thriller series The Couple Next Door.

Fresh off a successful run of performances across the UK, Palladio is set to debut “Glitter” live at The Minack Theatre before returning to Nashville on June 26 and 27 for two performances at the iconic Ryman Auditorium as part of NASHVILLE: The Encore Tour. The appearances mark the latest chapter in an exciting new era of music under 3686 Records.
