Pandora Presents Women In Country
This week, Pandora hosted an event in New York City showing a spotlight on some of the leading women in country music. The event featured live performances from Martina McBride, Cassadee Pope, and RaeLynn. The concert offered free admission to Pandora listeners who RSVP’d in advance. The event was also a benefit concert for the T.J. Martell Foundation and breast cancer research.
Lars Murray, Vice President of Pandora, stated, “The scale of Pandora is the perfect way to amplify the power of women in country music in a year where some have questioned it. Listeners and fans have spoken; these women have over 370 million spins on Pandora.”
Pandora is unique because it has the ability to determine which artists will appeal to local listeners by analyzing musical preferences, stations created, and thumbed-up songs. Invitations to events are then sent to Pandora listeners who have shown interest in these specific artists.
