Global Country Artist Kaylee Bell Reimagines A Classic Love Story In Fiery New Single “Red Dirt Romeo”
CMA Global Country Artist Award winner Kaylee Bell keeps raising the bar with her explosive new single, “Red Dirt Romeo,” available today on all digital streaming platforms.
Co-written in Nashville with Riley Bria and Trey Gust, and produced by Tom Jordan, “Red Dirt Romeo” is a country-pop firecracker that pairs Southern storytelling with driving guitars and an irresistible hook. The song brings new life to the Romeo and Juliet mythos, reimagined in dusty boots and small-town chaos—with a cowboy twist.

“Red Dirt Romeo was written in Nashville with my friends Riley Bria and Trey Gust,” Bell shares. “We are all quite possibly the biggest Keith Urban fans and wanted to write a song with the same energy and feeling we get when we listen to his early records. The song was fun to write as we tried to weave the story of Romeo and Juliet into a country life setting of falling in love with a cowboy on the run.”
With lyrics that sizzle and a beat that begs to be blasted through the windows of a pickup truck, the track is a love letter to youthful passion, reckless devotion, and the kind of all-consuming romance that can’t be contained. It’s a tribute to both country tradition and fresh, modern grit—two trademarks of Bell’s ever-evolving artistry.
The release comes on the heels of a banner year for Bell. Recently, Kaylee won Female Artist of the Year at the Countrytown Awards. On top of multiple nominations, Bell joined Kane Brown on select dates for his In The Air Tour. In 2023, she joined Ed Sheeran on his global Mathematics Stadium Tour, performing to six sold-out stadiums across her native New Zealand. She was also awarded the Global Country Artist Award at the 2023 CMA Awards in Nashville and scored a Top 20 crossover hit with her single “BOOTS” on New Zealand pop radio.
With more than 60 million global streams to her name, Bell is the first-ever independent female Australian country artist to earn ARIA Gold Certification for the viral smash “Keith”—a heartfelt ode to Keith Urban that shot to #12 on the US Billboard Country Digital Song Sales chart and spent five weeks at #1 on the Australian Country Radio chart. The song also racked up more than 60 million TikTok plays and became a fan favorite following her performance on The Voice Australia.
