Joey Myron Drops Genre-Bending Single “Hoe Down” Featuring Duo Lucky Dog

Musical innovator Joey Myron is back and pushing the boundaries of genre with his latest release, “Hoe Down” (feat. Lucky Dog)—now streaming on all platforms. Collaborating with James Shelley and Michel Heyaca, the masterminds behind the AI-driven duo Lucky Dog, Myron has crafted a unique sound that brings fresh sonic textures to the country scene. The result is a genre-blending Urban Cowboy vibe, offering an alternative country tune designed to capture the spirit of carefree line dancing.

Inspired by the energy of Western-style hoe downs, the single invites listeners to let go of their inhibitions and enjoy the freedom of the dance floor. “Hoe Down” aims to create a welcoming environment where people from all walks of life can come together. “The inspiration comes from going to a hoe down or line dance where everyone is an equal regardless of background and life circumstance,” Joey Myron explains. “Dancing becomes a form of religion and escape in searching for higher purpose. ‘Heaven knows why, but this just feels right. Let me show you why…’”

The track is a lively fusion of alternative rock energy and the authentic heart of country music, anchored by Myron’s rich baritone voice and his forward-thinking musicality. With driving rhythms, stomp-clap beats, and infectious melodies, “Hoe Down” delivers a party-ready anthem that will have listeners dancing all night long.

James Shelley and Michel Heyaca of Lucky Dog shared their excitement about the project: “Hoedown came about really from Joey walking in the room with basically a full chorus already fleshed out. He wanted the rest of the song to embody the idea of people letting loose without judgment. Once he laid down the guitar part, we knew we had to make it a hard-hitting, stomp-clap hoedown!”

Myron is no stranger to crafting hits. He previously worked with renowned DJ/producer Mickey Valen on his breakout track “Chills,” which has amassed over 90 million streams to date. Fans of the original hit are in for a treat, as Myron is set to release a “countryfied” Nashville version of “Chills” in November, bringing a fresh twist to the track.

Drawing inspiration from a diverse array of artists, including Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Nina Simone, Frank Sinatra, The Weeknd, and Post Malone, Myron’s music strikes a delicate balance between timeless and modern. His innovative approach ensures that each new release pushes musical boundaries, delivering fresh, dynamic sounds to his audience.
