For this week’s New Music Friday, we’re diving into an eclectic mix of fresh releases that are bound to find their way to your playlists. From emerging artists to established chart-toppers experimenting with new sounds, there’s something for every mood. Whether you’re looking to catch a vibe, reflect on life, or roll the windows down and the music up, we’ve got the tracks for you!

Initially set to release in 2025, Eric Church released “Darkest Hour (Helene Edit)” early this Friday. This track was fast-tracked due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene across several states in the US, particularly North Carolina, which is Church’s home state. This song is a message of hope and resilience, emphasizing the importance of receiving and giving help in times of need. All proceeds will go to aid hurricane victims to support recovery efforts.

Following his most recent single, “Work It Out,” Joe Jonas has released another song “What This Could Be,” giving fans a glimpse of his upcoming album Music For People Who Believe in Love. This pop track, which has a different vibe than Jonas’ usual music, explores the tension between past heartbreaks and the desire for something meaningful, a balance between fear and hope.

After teasing upcoming releases on social media that would be released on her deluxe album, Older (and Wiser), Lizzy McApline released five new unreleased songs alongside the fourteen original tracks from Older. In the five is a stand-out track that fans have been waiting for, “Spring Into Summer.” This song showcases Lizzy’s signature songwriting style, capturing themes of nostalgia and the complexities of transitioning through seasons, literally and figuratively, perfect for this time of year.

Leah Turner embraces her Latin roots in her newest album, “This Is Mi.” This album shows off how Turner merges her Latin roots with a traditional country sound, sharing a new side of country that many have not heard before. Turner wants people to listen to her album and understand that country music is for everyone, and if you have a dream that may go against the grain, do it anyways!
