Ingrid Andress Brings a Sublime Spin on Dua Lipa’s ‘Don’t Start Now’

Ingrid Andress gave Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now” a full makeover.

The country singer put her own Sublime spin on Dua Lipa’s disco hit for Spotify Singles on September 9, 2020. She also debuted a new take on the title track of her debut album, Lady Like. Aside from her new releases, Ingrid was recently nominated at the 2020 CMA Awards for Best New Artist and Song of the Year for her Platinum No. 1 single, “More Hearts Than Mine.” Lady Like will be released on vinyl on October 16, fans can pre-order it now.

Ingrid was the most awarded artist at the 32nd Annual MusicRow Awards. She won every category she was nominated in. She took home the honors for Breakthrough Artist-Writer of the Year and Breakthrough Artist of the Year. Her smash single, “More Hearts Than Mine” also earned her the Song of the Year award.

So far, Ingrid has amassed 350 million global streams. She was also the only solo-female-debut to crack Top 20 on the Country Airplay chart in 2019.

Driving more than three billion streams since the program began in 2017, Spotify Singles was created to give artists an opportunity to record new versions of their own songs, and the songs of the artists they love. The Singles scope includes a unique version of each artist’s own song (Side A) and a cover song of their choosing (Side B). To date, there have been over 300 Singles recorded as part of the program.
