Elle King Bringing Country Rock to Sacramento

By  |

Elle King and Lola Kirke gave Sacramento a country rock show to remember. Opening up the show was Lola Kirke, an English actress turned musician. She was recently signed to Third Man Records and plans to release her sophomore album “Lady For Sale” next month. Headlining the show was Elle King, who recently has changed direction from pop music to a more country leaning musical path. This tour showcased a fan base of new and old fans, young and old. Some of her newer fans seemed to be older country fans, but there was also a great turnout of younger fans who remember Elle from her first album in 2015. The show had great energy and you could tell Elle was very excited to be on stage performing. Overall she performed a lot of newer songs off her 2018 album “Shake the Spirit.” She also performed a few covers like “Long Haired Country Boy” “Angel from Montgomery” and “My Neck, My Back (Lick it).” The fan favorite song, “Ex’s & Oh’s” was also on the setlist and all the fans new and old were excited to sing along.
