Camila Cabello Shines Vocally on New Song “Real Friends”

By  |

On Friday, December 8, Camila Cabello shared information about her upcoming album and released two new tracks “Real Friends” and a swooning lovestruck number “Never Be The Same”. Both are instant grat tracks when you pre-order her debut album due out January 12th.

While “Never Be The Same” is a song you would predict would be from Cabello, “Real Friends” is the most desolate and raw single from the singer to date. Cabello is accompanied by a simple guitar, a handclap, and some percussion to go along with her powerful vocals.  “I’m just lookin’ for some real friends/ Wonder where they’re all hidin’ out,” Cabello sings. “I’m just lookin’ for some real friends/ Gotta get up out of this town.”

With a lot going on in her life and having been through a lot, Cabello is at the top of her game, not only writing infectious pop hits but also relatable, stripped-down tracks. “Real Friends” isn’t your ordinary track but it’s one of the most understandable ones to date. If “Real Friends” is any indication of what’s to come on her debut album Camila, we are in for a treat.
