Meet Billie Eilish’s U.S. Tour Openers

By  |

Less than a month away from the kick-off of her ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ Tour, Billie Eilish has finally announced the openers for the North American leg of the tour.

To say that Billie Eilish’s ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft’ tour was one of the most awaited ones this year would be an understatement. Following the announcement of her third studio album back in April, the 22-year-old singer had quickly announced its accompanying 81-date world tour.

Kicking off on September 29 in Quebec City, Canada, the tour will make stops in 22 additional cities across North America, before taking over Australia in February of next year and over Europe in the spring. The ‘Hit Me Hard And Soft Tour’ will run through to the summer of 2025 with 14 dates set in the UK and Ireland in July.

And with the North American leg of the tour being so close, Eilish took to her Instagram stories today to announce who would be opening for her in Canada and the United States.

Meet the tour openers for Billie Eilish

NAT & ALEX WOLFF

Brothers Nat & Alex Wolff will have the honor of being both the first and last act to open for Eilish on this leg of the tour. The American pop-rock duo from New York City will indeed open for the artist on 19 of the dates, including the kick-off date (September 29) and the closing night (December 17).

The pair rose to fame in 2007 when aged only 13 and 10, they starred and recorded music for Nickleodeon’s television series, The Naked Brothers Band. After wrapping up the series, both brothers landed several acting roles while continuously working on their music. They went on to release three studio albums, Black Sheep (2021), Public Places (2016,) and Table for Two (2023).

Earlier this year, the brothers had been spotted hanging out with Eilish at Coachella. Later in the year, Nat Wolff also starred alongside Eilish in her self-directed “CHIHIRO” music video.

To kick off the tour in style, the Billboard-charting duo will release their brand new single, “Backup Plan” on September 27th.

TOWA BIRD

Towa Bird is a rising talent in the global music scene, known for her innovative guitar skills. Born in Hong Kong and raised in the UK by her British-Filipino parents, the 25-year-old artist blends elements of rock, punk, and pop in her debut album American Hero, released earlier this year.

Eilish first recognized Bird’s potential in 2021, when she reposted a story of her playing the guitar on her Instagram account. The guitarist kept her momentum going by posting short videos of her playing the guitar on TikTok and by appearing and performing the famous riff from “Brutal” in Olivia Rodrigo’s Driving Home 2 You Disney+ special. The following year, Bird signed with Interscope and opened for Reneé Rapp on both the North American and the U.K. legs of the Snow Hard Feelings Tour.

Since then, Towa Bird has only kept growing, even scoring a spot on the biggest stage of France’s infamous Rock En Seine music festival this summer. In the fall, Bird will embark on her first headline tour, before joining Eilish on her “Hit Me Hard and Soft Tour”!

THE MARIAS

The Marías are the psychedelic-soul lovechild of Puerto Rican-bred, Atlanta-raised María Zardoya and Los Angeles native Josh Conway. After signing to Atlantic Records in 2021, the band scored their first chart-topping single with their song “Hush,” from their debut album, Cinema. Cinema was subsequently nominated for a Grammy Award the following year in the category Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical. That same year, the band went on tour in promotion of the record, opened for Halsey on her Love and Power Tour and collaborated with Bad Bunny on the song “Otro Atardecer” from his GRAMMY-nominated album Un Verano Sin Ti.

After collaborating with the likes of Cuco, Tainy, Young Miko and Eyedress last year, The Marías released their sophomore bilingual album Submarine in May 2024. The band then embarked on a North American tour in July, before announcing that said tour would go worldwide in the fall, with stops throughout Europe and the United Kingdom.

Following their headline tour, the band will go back to the United States to open for Eilish, who helped their single “No One Noticed” go viral over the summer by posting a video of herself singing along to the song on her Instagram stories.
