By  |

Carrie Underwood can’t sing Dolly Parton’s praises enough ahead of the 2022 ACM Awards.

The “Jolene” singer is set to host the 57th Academy of Country Music Awards on Monday, March 7. Meanwhile, Underwood is part of the long list of artists set to perform at the Las Vegas Allegiant Stadium.

“I think what excites me most about being at the ACMs this year is that we’re all together. We’re in Vegas! We’re in this gorgeous beautiful giant space. I feel like everybody is just rising to the occasion of filling the space and I’m just really excited to be a part of it,” Carrie Underwood shared excitedly. “I just expect everybody to bring their a-games to the stadium and just big performances and obviously celebrating a great year in country music.”

Over the course of her career, Underwood got to work with Dolly Parton a few times. Additionally, she couldn’t hide her excitement about her hosting the ceremony with 2021 ACM New Male Artist of the Year winner Jimmie Allen and last year’s ACM New Female Artist of the Year Gabby Barrett.

“[Dolly]’s the queen, she’s the woman, the myth, the legend. I’ve had the pleasure of hosting things with her in the past. She’s just funny and charming and everything you would want her to be. And Gabby and Jimmy, they’re just personalities and just amazing artists and people. I’m excited to see all of them on stage hosting and leading the charge.”

Finally, this year, Underwood is nominated for Single of the Year for “If I Didn’t Love You” with Jason Aldean. They are also up for Music Video of the Year and Music Event of the Year for the same song.

Be sure to tune in to Amazon Prime on Monday, March 7 to stream the full awards show, live from Las Vegas!
