Exclusive: Chasity Samone on Equality

By  |

Congratulations on being featured in PLAYBOY Magazine’s first-ever ‘Equality Issue’. How did this opportunity come about?
I first learned about it 2 years ago. I sent a DM to the casting director and she replied!

You’re the February 2020 PLAYBOY Playmate. Are there any misconceptions of a Playmate you wish to defy?
Yes, some people think it’s ‘just boobs,’ but playmates are so much more than just our bodies. We are purposely acting on changing the status quo on multiple societal issues.

Thank you so much for your service. What did you take away from your time in the army?
Thank you so much! The one thing I learned, which is in my Playboy article, is my breathing technique.

What would you like to change in the beauty and political landscapes?
I would like to change the standard of beauty. We come from all walks of life and one form should not just be represented.

What can everyday people do to help in the fight for equal pay and access to education?
First, we need the knowledge and understand where we lie in the equation. Once we figure out we’re not alone, our allies will do the same.

You’ve worked with Kanye West and Miley Cyrus. Do you have anyone you’re dying to collaborate or work with?
I really want to work with Beyoncé and Rihanna. I love those women!

You have 10 siblings, incredible! How do you stay close?
We’re all in a group text in which we say good morning and goodnight to each other every single day and night. Throughout the day we send funny stuff to each other.

What’s next for you? Do you have an ultimate goal?
My ultimate goal is to become a politician, but before that, I would like to explore movies and television.
