UK’s Download Festival Announces 36 New Bands & A Lemmy Tribute Stage!

By  |

If you ever needed a reason to go to the UK, it’s festival season. Download Festival is one of the major players in an incredibly impressive game, with Brits taking their festivals super seriously.

This attitude hasn’t wavered with the latest line-up announcement, welcoming 36 new rock and metal acts to any already impressive bill which includes Iron Maiden, Deftones, Korn and Billy Talent. The likes of Janes Addiction, Alien Ant Farm and NOFX are among the key highlights of the newcomers, but there are bands across the spectrum, big and small.

Sadly, Motörhead will no longer be performing at this year’s event, due to the tragic loss of rock’n’roll legend, Lemmy Kilmister. To honor such a great man, the Download Festival Main Stage will be named ‘The Lemmy Stage’ in a touching tribute. The team are also working on a few extra surprises to literally fit the bill he’d have played in.

Feast your eyes on the full list of newly announced bands in all its awesomeness:
