T. Mills Metro Review

By  |

I walked up to Metro to a three block lone line of fans already waiting an hour before doors open.  I went inside and found T. Mills meeting his fans.  About 100 fans were in a long line, most of them shrieking with excitement.  Travis stood up and I hadn’t realized how tall he was till then.

We started walking to the bus for the interview and doors opened letting in hundreds of screaming fans running their way toward us, my intern even got shoved!  The line for entrance inside the venue was slow so around 50 fans were watching us interview by the bus screaming to get his attention.  One fan even walked around to the other side and was trying to jump the fence.  I was really taken aback, coming into the interview I had no idea how big he was and how jubilant his fans were.

The stage had a giant T and M along with drums and a DJ/Keyboards set up.  Travis came out wearing a Black Hawk’s shirt to ear piercing screams from the crowd. He started off with “She Got A” with everyone in the front row singing and rapping along.  Getting out of the photo pit was a challenge getting smashed by fans trying to get closer to him.

He kept engaging the crowd and dedicated “Diamonds” to his grandma that just passed away.  When he started playing his new single “Loud” even some of the bar tenders were dancing and rapping along.  Fittingly he put a pair of Vans shoes on and closed the night out with “Vans On.”
