Orla Gartland Brings “Hero Tour” to Boston
Orla Gartland made a splash at the Paradise Rock Club on April 22nd. The Dublin-born and London-based artist and producer brought her second full-length album, Everybody Needs A Hero, to Boston. She played hits such as “SOUND OF LETTING GO,” “Kiss Ur Face Forever,” and her newest single, “Now What?”
On top of songs from Everybody Needs A Hero, Gartland also performed songs from her first full-length album, Woman on the Internet. Playing songs like “Codependency,” “Madison,” and “More Like You” to an audience belting the lyrics right back. A crowd of fans from across an ocean, separated by water but connected through music. It was a lovely sight.
Not only did Gartland showcase her own talent, but she even welcomed a special guest, Nebraska-born, Emma Harner. Together they performed “Over Your Head,” a song off of Woman on the Internet.
“Why Am I Like This,” a crowd favorite and viral hit – 700 million views and nearly 400,000 TikTok creations, and counting, was met with raging applause and a chorus of voices screaming the lyrics back at Gartland.
Toward the end of the show, Gartland performed a cover of a current viral song, “Red Wine Supernova” by the infamous Chappell Roan. Bodies shimmied, voices chimed, and people kissed. The energy in the room was electric.
The vibes were high and well for this evening. Gartland’s stage presence was mesmerizing and soul-stirring. Her vocals surpassed expectations – how can one sound even better in person than on recording?
Orla Gartland doesn’t just perform – she connects, electrifies, and transforms a night into something unforgettable. A must-see, without a doubt.
