Must see Austin-based Artist at Austin City Limits 2021

While fans are most excited for artists like Billie Eilish, Megan Thee Stallion, Machine Gun Kelly, and Doja Cat to perform at this year’s Austin City Limits Festival, we highly recommend getting to the festival early to listen to some of the earlier acts.

Who knows you may discover your new favorite artist. There are some incredible artists as your eyes lower towards the bottom of the lineup and Austin-based bands and artists are well-represented in this year’s lineup.

Here is a look at some Austin-based bands and artists that you do not want to miss.

Aaron Stephens ⎮ Saturday Weekend 1 Oct 2nd ⎮VRBO stage⎮ 12:05-12:50  

Aaron Stephens isn’t your typical singer-songwriter. He’s a producer/multi-instrumentalist, with an emphasis on funky guitar playing.   

Sir Woman Saturday Weekend 1 Oct 2nd ⎮TITO’S STAGE⎮ 1:00-1:45 

Sir Woman is the newest project of Kelsey Wilson, from the band Wild Child. “I’ve always personally connected most with funk/soul/r&b and gospel, but I’ve never made any music like that before. Initially, this music wasn’t for anyone but myself, but after the first day in the studio I knew I needed to bring Sir Woman to life.”

Zach Person ⎮ Sunday Weekend 2 Oct 10th ⎮BMI STAGE⎮ 12:00-12:45  

Zach Person is the new face of indie rock. Person plays loud, raw, and connects with his music fans on a primal sonic level. Person’s self-titled, debut LP dropped on April 2, 2021

Riders Against the Storm Friday Weekend 2 Oct 8 ⎮TITO’S STAGE⎮ 1:15-2:00 

 A Husband And Wife Rap Duo Are Making Hip-Hop History In Austin. Riders against the storm were the first hip-hop group to be awarded ‘Band of the Year,’ by the Austin Music Awards in 2014 and have won the title a total of three times. Their new album Flowers for the Living is out now.
