Halsey Gives Debut Live Performance of ‘Safeword’ at Sips and Sounds: WATCH
Halsey gave her first ever performance of her latest single, “Safeword.”
The 30-year-old singer headlined the first night of Sips and Sounds Festival at Auditorium Shores in Austin, Texas. During her hour-long set, she performed her hits from each of her records and eras. From suggesting that “You Should Be Sad,” needs an official country line dance, to her rock hits, and electronic singalongs, her setlist provided something for every music fan.
Halsey asked the crowd if she could teach the crowd something and to repeat it. She screamed, “You’re not the boss of me!” To which the crowd went wild. After she and the audience went back and forth a few times, then she said, “Well maybe I am,” before launching into the new song.
Halsey gave an electric performance of the rock-alternative track which had her head banging, hair flipping, and jumping around the stage. Donning her natural curls paired with cowboy boots and a baby doll dress, she left the fans ready to see her upcoming For My Last Trick Tour. The North American tour is set to kick off on May 10 at the Toyota Pavilion in Concord, California.
