Blending heartfelt storytelling with modern country production, “Like You Never Left” explores the emotional weight of a relationship in which old feelings linger beneath the surface. With vulnerable lyrics and a smooth, emotionally charged delivery, Anderson leans into the universal experience of trying to start fresh while realizing someone else still occupies part of your heart.
“I love when a song comes together effortlessly, and ‘Like You Never Left’ was one of those situations,” says Anderson. “From writing with Chris and Jason, to recording with Brett, everything flowed. If you’ve ever been in a relationship with someone, and it doesn’t feel like you’re quite over your last person, you’ll resonate with this song.”
Born in Raleigh, North Carolina, and raised in Temecula, California, Anderson has spent years building a strong foundation in country music as both a songwriter and performer. He first traveled to Nashville as a teenager with dreams of signing a record deal — a goal he achieved early on with the band Temecula Road. While balancing school and music, Anderson quickly immersed himself in songwriting, making frequent trips to Nashville before eventually relocating full-time in 2019 to pursue his solo career.
Since then, Anderson has continued carving out his own lane with a sound rooted in emotional authenticity and lived experience. Over the years, he has performed on major stages around the world, including Stagecoach, C2C Festival, and the Grand Ole Opry, while opening for artists such as Kane Brown, Nate Smith, Billy Currington, and Scotty McCreery.
Now entering a new chapter creatively, Anderson continues to showcase both his growth as an artist and his ability to connect deeply with listeners through honest songwriting and relatable storytelling. “Like You Never Left” marks another step forward for the emerging artist as he continues building momentum with new music and live performances ahead.
