Black Coffee Wins Grammy For Best Dance/Electronic Music Album For ‘Subconsciously’

The Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Music Album goes to Black Coffee for Subconsciously.

On Sunday, April 3, The 64th Annual Grammy Awards took place in Las Vegas at MGM Garden Arena. Prior to the official CBS telecast, awards were announced during the pre-ceremony, including Best Dance/Electronic Music Album.

Other nominees include Judgement from Ten City, and Fallen Embers from ILLENIUM. Music Is The Weapon (Reloaded) by Major Lazer, Shockwave by Marshmello, and Free Love by Sylvan Esso were also up for the honor.

Beyond the Grammy For Best Dance/Electronic Music Album

Grammy winner and current Best Spoken Word album nominee LeVar Burton hosted the 64th GRAMMY Awards Premiere Ceremony. The event took place at the MGM Grand Conference Marquee Ballroom in Las Vegas.

If you missed the premiere ceremony, it featured performances from Madison Cunningham, Falu, Nnenna Freelon, Kalani Pe’a, John Popper, and The Isaacs. Current nominees Jimmie Allen, Ledisi, Mon Laferte, Allison Russell, and Curtis Stewart also performed.

“I’m excited to host this celebration of the best performers across genres and art forms,” Burton said. “I am incredibly honored in particular to be represented in the Best Spoken Word category this historic year, with a cohort of five other outstandingly talented Black men, along with the words of the late great Congressman John Lewis.”

Performers during the CBS telecast included other current nominees and award winners.  Jon Batiste, BTS, Billie Eilish, H.E.R., and Lady Gaga will perform. Country artists Brothers Osborne, Brandi Carlile, Carrie Underwood, and Chris Stapleton will also take the stage. Lil Nas X and Jack Harlow will be teaming up along with a J Balvin and Maria Becerra collaboration.

Additionally, Cynthia Erivo, John Legend, Maverick City Music, Nas, Aymée Nuviola, Leslie Odom, Jr., Ben Platt, Olivia Rodrigo, Silk Sonic, Billy Strings, and Rachel Zegler will hit the stage.
