Today, J-Pop duo YOASOBI debut an English version of their new song “三原色 (RGB)

“We feel the English version of the track gave it more style sonically, and especially the rap segment shed a light on a new side of YOASOBI,” says Ikura of the track.

These rising superstars have reached #1 on Billboard Japan Top Artists Chart and #2 on Japan Hot Albums Chart, and are now making their entry into the US market for the first time with the recent releases of “Into The Night” and both the Japanese and English versions of “三原色 (RGB)

YOASOBI is a duo—comprised of composer Ayase and vocalist Ikura—that “creates music from novels.” Their songs are inspired by short stories published on popular online creative website monogatary.com. Their first single “夜に駆ける (Yoru ni kakeru)” became a smash hit upon its release in November, 2019. “Yoru ni kakeru” topped multiple streaming charts in Japan and has also ranked in various viral charts around the world. YOASOBI also performed at the NHK Kohaku Uta Gassen (NHK Red & White Song Battle).
Earlier this year YOASOBI released their debut album, THE BOOK. The group released two singles, “怪物 (Kaibutsu)” and “優しい彗星 (Yasashii Suisei),” both of which were chosen to be the opening and closing theme songs, respectively, for the TV animation “BEASTARS” and ranked #1 on various music charts.
