Wine Amplified: Wine and Music Festival!

Music and alcohol: a classic combination as old as time. However, everyone’s favorite party city is giving it a new flair with it’s 9th annual Wine Amplified Festival right on the Las Vegas Strip. The festival will take place October 10-11 and headlining are Train and Blink 182. This isn’t your average festival, so here are some tips to make it an unforgettable (or completely forgettable, if you know what I mean) experience.

1. Pace yourself. This doesn’t seem like a fun tip, but trust me it is worth it. When you first go into the festival, you will want to try everything that is put in front of you as quickly as possible. Getting drunk with your buddies within the first hour may seem like a good idea at first, but then you’ll miss out on all the good music and great wine. What you don’t realize is that the wine and beer is continuously flowing. There are wine tastings everywhere. There is an actual wine trail shaped like a wine glass! Plus the Sip and Sound wine and music exhibition. And don’t forget the craft beer garden. Or the neon vineyard where you can stomp your own grapes. And the hidden speakeasy. Overwhelmed yet? Like I said, pace yourself so you can experience everything without being “that guy.”
2. Be aware of how much you are spending. The festival runs on a cashless system so basically you wear a wristband with a chip in it that gets scanned when you want to pay for something rather than using cash. So be wary! You can quickly lose track of just how much you are spending.
3. Know what bands you want to see and make a game plan. It would totally suck if you missed your favorite band because you were mistaken about their set time or got too drunk to check them out.
4. HAVE FUN! I feel like that is a given but I thought I would say it anyway. This festival is literally the best of both worlds so let loose for the weekend and enjoy.
