If you’re from Florida, you hear the word “Okeechobee” and probably cringe. Or you pack up your fishing poles and shotguns for a trip on the lake.
But coming this March that could all change!
According to recent news, the redneck wasteland is going to turn into a Hipster paradise.
*breathes sigh of relief*
That’s right, Okeechobee will be home to a new music festival with a line-up of over 80 DJ’s and artists similar to Coachella and Bonnaroo.

The festival will simply be called “Okeechobee”, much like Coachella is named after the valley. Oh, how chić of you Florida, I’m so very proud.
Does this mean us Floridians FINALLY have a shot at seeing Lorde?
Halsey?
Lana Del Rey?
BØRNS?
Milkey Chance?
Flume?
MO?
The Weeknd?
Drake?
Vance Joy?
Skrillex?
Sorry, I’m getting carried away…

The line up will be released sometime in October, but until then let us know who YOU think should hop on this brand new festival while it’s fresh! Okeechobee itself is scheduled to begin sometime in march, giving everyone plenty of time to pick out what they are going to wear.
If this festival ends up as massive as hoped, I’m just excited to see celebs try and pull of festival style in this humidity. I’m thinking there will be a lot of braids and hats!
