Welcome back to another week of New Music Friday, where we fill you in on the hottest songs hitting the scene this week. From Country to Pop to RnB, whatever type of music you’re looking for, we’ve got you covered.

Viral Pop sensation, Tate McRae, dropped “It’s ok I’m ok” following her teasing it at her sold-out Madison Square Garden show. In true pop fashion, this song is full of catchy lyrics and a beat you can’t help but dance to. A music video accompanied this release, full of her signature hair flips and jaw-dropping choreography.

Teddy Swims’, “Bad Dreams,” was released last night. This song dives into a story about personal struggles with nightmares, the impact that they can have on you, and how one person can be your release from these bad dreams. His expressive vocals and the haunting arrangement behind the deep lyrics, makes listeners feel like they are there with Swims.

Demi Lovato is back on the music scene, with a song from her upcoming original documentary, Child Star, called “You’ll Be Okay, Kid.” While editing the documentary, Lovato felt compelled to write a song as a letter to her inner child, hoping that it offered listeners an opportunity to connect to their inner child too. Child Star, the documentary, comes out September 17th exploring the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight, through celebrity interviews, archived footage, etc.

This week, Maddie & Tae, dropped What A Woman Can Do the EP. The title track, “What A Woman Can Do” is a song about where Maddie and Tae are at in their lives and careers. They continue the theme of confidence in what women can do throughout the EP and hope that, through these songs, their fans will feel empowerment in finding who they are, where they’re going and what they want in life.
