Joe Jonas and Ela Taubert Cover Justin Bieber Hit at Universal: Watch

By  |

Joe Jonas surprised his crowd with not one, not two, but three special guests — including Ela Taubert.

On Saturday (February 8), the Jonas Brother performed a solo concert at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida as part of their Mardi Gras concert series. During his set, Jonas brought out Taubert to perform their bilingual version of “¿Cómo Pasó?” along with a cover. They chose to perform their very own rendition of Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself.”

“I want to tell you about this next song,” Jonas told the crowd prior to “¿Cómo Pasó?”. “And today I actually skipped my Duo Lingo.” Jonas shared that he was on a 200+ day streak learning Spanish. “I do Duo Lingo because my tutor is here,” he continued. “I had the great honor of performing with this next artist at the Latin Grammys. It’s such an honor for me and was one of the coolest experiences. We basically kicked off the show and she went on to win the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist.”

Taubert walked out onto the stage and began singing the Spanish portion of their duet together, with Jonas singing back the English translation. Later in the evening, Jonas brought out Alex Warren to perform their duet, “Burning House.” This marked the first time that they performed it together, live in concert. He later brought out his brother, Frankie Jonas, to perform “Velvet Sunshine.”

Joe Jonas introduced the song by sharing that it was Ela’s idea to perform a cover. “This was Ela’s idea and I love the song so we’re going to do our best here. Hope you enjoy it,” Jonas told the crowd. The duo took turns taking the verses back and forth before harmonizing in the chorus.
