Jason Derulo Talk Dirty Album Feature!
With 13 million Facebook fans Jason Derulo has become a household name. If you’re an avid Twitter user, you’ve seen fans trying to complete his album by creating trending topics for it. After having enormous success with Talk Dirty single featuring 2 Chainz, I’ve been anticipating Derulo’s album release. This track features a trumpet and horn section, which I find is missing in mainstream music. Jason collaborates with girlfriend Jordin Sparks for my favorite song off the album, Vertigo. It starts off as ballad with Jordin’s powerhouse pitch perfect voice it creates a harmony that’s a cliché term I’ve never used in a review before, “music to my ears”.
Karma Sutra feat. Kid Ink is in one word futuristic. I can’t say much more than that on the track, other than that it made me look up the definition of “Sutra”. Zipper has infectious rhythm and hook. The Other Side was a radio hit playing every time I turned on my radio in the car. It has such a happy summer vibe to it. With The Lights On musically is reminiscent of EDM meets hip hop. I’m personally not a fan of the lyrics, however it does catch my ears with its mixing and production. Stupid Love is a mix between Justin Timberlake and Shakira that you’ll have to hear to believe.
Marry Me is the cutest love song ever. The music video features Jordin Sparks and makes it that much more adorable. I’m really impressed with Derulo’s softer side. Snoop Dogg collaborated with Derulo for Wiggle to a delight of fans. I can see this becoming a dance club anthem. For all the booty appreciating people out there Bubblegum is your track. Featuring Tyga, it uses some crazy cool sound effects making me dance along while reviewing this album. Trumpets are again prevalent in the song Trumpets, lyrically amazing using other artist’s lyrics creating a clever song. Wonderfully produced and mixed the producer truly creates a modern day symphony.
The album has two bonus tracks Tattoo and Fire featuring Pitbull. Tattoo has such an infectious beat that you can smile along riding in your car with the windows down to. All in all Derulo’s album has radio smashes and is a record I can listen to in its entirety. With A-list collaborations complimenting his music this album should be a successfully accepted album amongst his fans.
