In her brand new album, Would You Still Love Me If You Really Knew Me, out today (July 18), FLETCHER is raw and full of questions and revelations. ‘Hi, Everyone Leave Please’ is yet another proof of that.

In a recent interview with Made It Out podcast host, Mal Glowenke, Fletcher had admitted that “Hi, Everyone Leave Please” had been meant to be the first single off of her upcoming project, but got replaced at the last minute.

“I have a song on my album called “Hi, Everyone Leave Please” and I was originally supposed to release [this song] on May 23rd,” the 31-year-old shared. “But I didn’t think releasing a song called “Hi, Everyone Leave Please” after being gone for six months in Pride Month would land.”

The song indeed deals with deception over the way the music industry and virality work nowadays. “I sold out Radio City, but I’m not on the radio / Kinda bruises my ego watchin’ the other pop girls skyrocket to the moon,” Fletcher shares in the song.

The album, which was co-produced by FLETCHER and Jennifer Decilveo, was instead lead by ‘Boy’, an emotional track about how confusing and scary it can be to discover and show the world a part of yourself that your career has never made room for before.
