2012 CMA Fest Blog

Jacklyn here… AGAIN! I’m going to start a podcast since fans keep asking “What was the show like?” or “What were insert band here like?” And since this website is all about fans getting to know their favorite entertainers I decided to write a blog about the CMA Fest.  I recommend any country music fan to attend. Every artist I’ve seen was kind to their fans and there are so many chances to meet them for fans! I thought it was just the smaller artists that hold meet & greets but no EVERY artist and band put on several.  I even had the chance to meet Little Big Town, Brantley Gilbert, Blake Shelton, and Hunter Hayes just to name a few!

I arrived Wednesday morning to attend the parade and CMT Awards. I rode the float with Little Big Town on their pontoons since their single is Pontoon.

The awards were INCREDIBLE! I got a chance to talk to Hunter Hayes and Brantley Gilbert on the carpet before going inside.  I also stood in front of Hank Williams Jr. in line for food I told him that he was a great artist, shortly after he got mobbed by fans, he then proceeded to take pictures with everyone.  I covered the after party for the CMT’s where Charlie Worsham and Gloriana played at aVenue.  Charlie and Gloriana met all the fans afterwards and put on a great show!

All of the interviews went smoothly, we even ended up finding Angie Johnson (from the Voice and youtube singing Rolling in The Deep while deployed) and interviewing her! All of the artists/bands were extremely nice and respectful.  I got to watch many of them interact with fans and it was so incredible to see the smile on their faces meeting their fans and the smiles on the fans’ faces too!

More to come later next week about podcasts and our new & improved website launch! Be sure to check out our Facebook page facebook.com/stagerightsecrets for hundreds of pictures from CMA fest week!
