Co-written by Collins and produced by Austin Bello, the track draws from both his own life and the emotional journeys of those around him. With raw honesty and gritty conviction, Collins delivers a gripping anthem for anyone who’s ever had to walk away—knowing it’s the right choice, even when it hurts.

LISTEN TO “BAD GUY” HERE.

“Bad Guy is a song that is rooted in my own life experiences and really came to fruition after seeing some people close to me go through a breakup. The idea that even though you know you’re a bad match for someone, but you don’t have the heart to crush their world by telling them they’re not enough for you just hit home for me,” says Charlie. “Thinking of the people inside my circle of friends who have been through something similar made me realize how relatable this song really is. That made this song so much more special to realize the potential of how many people could relate to it.”

Charlie Collins, a rising force from the West Virginia/Virginia state line, is turning heads with his gritty fusion of country and rock. Drawing inspiration from artists like Koe Wetzel, Treaty Oak Revival, and Parker McCollum, Collins is forging a sound that’s raw, melodic, and unapologetically his own. After returning home from deployment, he headed to Nashville to cut his debut album with Dean Miller, son of country icon Roger Miller.

Following a seven-year military career, Charlie now juggles life as a full-time fireman in Northern Virginia while lighting up stages along the East Coast. Known for his high-energy live shows and blue-collar grit, he’s built a loyal fanbase with over 500,000 catalog streams and nearly 30,000 social media followers. With momentum building, Collins is quickly becoming an artist to keep on your radar.
