Andrew McMahon Announcement and Single!

By  |

Andrew McMahon fans rejoice! Our favorite singer/songwriter is back at it again, this time under the moniker Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. Fans have been on quite the journey with Andrew since 2001 when Something Corporate released their first official EP, through the mid-2000s and Jack’s Mannequin, his cancer and Dear Jack, the retirement of the Jack’s Mannequin name and the release of the Pop Underground, and finally the present. It doesn’t matter whether you have been there from the beginning or you are just now discovering Andrew’s music, we are all invited to go into the wilderness and share this next part of the journey as friends, family and fans.

Two very exciting things have happened within the past few days. First, Andrew has released his first single under the name Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness. It, in part, tells his story from the time he started to play music until now, and it is, in part, a letter to his newborn daughter. It is called “Cecilia and the Satellite” and it is one of the most beautiful and touching songs I have ever heard.
